“Light Cave” encapsulated part of The Plaza at The Standard, High Line, prompting guests to walk under the vibrantly colored monumental structure to enter the hotel. “Light Cave’s” nebulous shape simultaneously evokes a prehistoric figure and a cavern. This semi-translucent inflatable is a living breathing piece of architecture, pulsating with energy and light, creating a sensory rich experience that unifies viewers under its canopy. We created “Light Cave” as a cathedral of the spirit, an interactive experience manifested with the purpose of joining people together in a metaphysical sense.
