Cloud City – MoCA North Miami, FL 2005

In 2005 FriendsWithYou created the installation Cloud City for the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. This installation mixed play, performance and ritual in a full-sensory environment called Cloud City. FriendsWithYou’s guide and spiritual advisor, “The Boy”, led visitors in a fantasy ritual where they awakened their inner creative and vibrant spirit as they slid down slides, jumped onto giant rolling toys, and bounced huge inflatable Gods. Cloud City featured large fiberglass sculptures as slides, large foam characters on wheels, giant inflatables, and FriendsWithYou’s own Sam and Tury dressed in “The Boy” character costumes playing with all visitors. The installation featured FWY’s whimsical soundtrack entitled “Cloud City”.
