The OHWOW gallery and artists Devin Flynn and Jim Drain presented Dadarhea, a freeform video workshop with a group of guest artists who pride themselves on confounding their audiences, allowing them to employ animation, live-action video (on location with a greenscreen), musical performance, and any and all improvised and questionable behavior. We combined forces with artists Jen Stark and Alvardo Ilizarbe to create ritual performances called “OHWOWIES”, “The Magical Goat” and “Triplet”. In these performances, the artists took on the role of sculptures that come alive together by playing bells, shooting off fireworks, and blowing feathers and confetti from their costumes to bless everyone in attendance. As the trio came to life, so did a larger-than-life papier-mâché goat. As the sound died down, the sculptures returned to their motionless state. The performances continued for the duration of the evening and allowed the audience to physically experience the project, bringing a unique dimension to the show.
