FriendsWithYou at Aspen Snowmass
We have collaborated with Aspen Snowmass on various art activations for the 2020-21 Winter Season.
What started as our fine art images on Aspen Snowmass lift tickets is now an immersive world of interactive art across Aspen Snowmass’ mountains. Installations include “Little Cloud” on Aspen Mountain, “The Dance” on Snowmass, and a series of limited edition merchandise in Four Mountain Sports retail stores & online.
In previous years, Aspen Snowmass has featured commissioned works on lift tickets by internationally recognized artists such as Susan Te Kahurangi King, Hank Willis Thomas, Paula Crown, Yutaka Sone, Peter Doig, Karen Kilimnik, Jim Hodges, Carla Klein, Mamma Andersson, Mark Grotjahn, David Shrigley, Mark Bradford, Anne Collier, Takashi Murakami, and Laura Owens. The lift ticket art program started as a partnership between the Aspen Art Museum and Aspen Snowmass in 2005.
Little Cloud is a symbol that celebrates the relationship between human and nature. We created the Little Cloud Light as a symbol of hope and peace to be a beacon of love and compassion. The piece will be on display for a year.
Visitors can find “The Dance” performance at the Snowmass Base Village skating rink. A choreographed ice dance is on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s at 3 p.m. and Saturday’s at 6 p.m.
